Matching a battery to a Deye inverter — HV vs LV
Which Deye batteries pair with which inverters: the high-voltage and low-voltage (48 V) families, and why the classes must never be mixed.
Updated 20 July 2026
Deye hybrids come in two battery-voltage classes, and a battery only works with an inverter of the same class. Get this wrong and the battery simply won’t commission — the inverter’s DC window can’t reach it.
- LV (low voltage) — 48 V nominal systems, battery window typically 40–60 V.
- HV (high voltage) — stacked high-voltage packs, battery window from 160 V up to 700–1000 V depending on the inverter.
Never pair across classes. An HV battery on a 48 V LV inverter (or the reverse) is not a configuration problem — the voltage ranges don’t overlap at all.
Low-voltage (48 V) inverters

| SUN-3–6K-SG04LP1 | Single | 40–60 V |
| SUN-8K-SG05LP1 | Single | 40–60 V |
| SUN-10–12K-SG02LP1 | Single | 40–60 V |
| SUN-14–16K-SG01LP1 | Single | 40–60 V |
| SUN-5–12K-SG04LP3 | Three | 40–60 V |
| SUN-14–20K-SG05LP3 | Three | 40–60 V |
| AI-W5.1-B-ESS (all-in-one) | Single / Three | 40–60 V (battery included) |

High-voltage inverters
| Inverter | Phase | Battery window |
|---|---|---|
| SUN-10–25K-SG01HP3 | Three | 160–700 V |
| SUN-29–50K-SG01HP3 | Three | 160–800 V |
| SUN-60–80K-SG02HP3 | Three | 160–1000 V |

The HV class is not limited to one inverter family — all three SG01HP3 / SG02HP3 ranges above are high-voltage, with different upper limits. Check the specific window for the model you’re quoting.
String inverters
The SUN G05 on-grid string range has no battery port — it’s PV-only. To add storage to a G05 site you either AC-couple a separate battery system or change the inverter; see AC vs DC coupling.
Before you order
Match the class first, then confirm the exact battery model is on the approved list for that specific inverter and firmware — the class match is necessary but not on its own sufficient. Check the inverter and battery datasheets, and for anything site-specific use the enquiry portal.
