Highlights
- Outdoor enclosure for the BOS-G battery. The BOS-G55-Cabinet is IP55 with C4 corrosion resistance. It is made of SGCC, finished in white (RAL 9016), for open-air installation. The cabinet itself is rated to 3000 m altitude, but the BOS-G battery and the SG01HP3 inverters are rated to 2000 m, which sets the limit for these builds.
- One cluster per cabinet, up to 11 packs. Each BOS-G55 holds one control box and up to eleven 5.12 kWh packs, which is 56.32 kWh. The packs fix straight into the cabinet slots, so no 19-inch rack is needed.
- BOS-G first, BOS-G Pro as the alternative. Both batteries fit the same cabinet. BOS-G is the HVB750V/100A-EU control box with BOS-GM5.1 packs. BOS-G Pro is the BOS-G-PDU-2 control box with BOS-G-Pack5.1 packs.
- Pairs with the SG01HP3 hybrid range. Deye’s AU configuration list pairs it with the SUN-12–25K-SG01HP3-AU-AM2, which has one battery input, or, for the 97.28 kWh build, the SUN-29.9–40K-SG01HP3-AU-BM3/BM4, which has two. Deye’s AU outdoor brochure shows further BOS-G Pro builds (see below).
- Two cabinet options. The low, wide BOS-G55-Cabinet is the cabinet in Deye’s AU configuration list. The tall, narrow BOS-G50-Cabinet is IP54 and fan-cooled, and takes up to 10 packs (51.2 kWh) on a smaller footprint.
Builds (Deye AU configuration list, 2026-09-10)
| System energy | Packs | Cabinets | Accessory kit (optional) | Hybrid inverter |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 51.2 kWh | 10, one cluster | 1 × BOS-G55 | AP-A (BOS-G) or AP-B (BOS-G Pro) | SUN-12–25K-SG01HP3-AU-AM2 |
| 92.16 kWh | 18, two clusters of 9 in parallel | 2 × BOS-G55 | AP-C | SUN-25K-SG01HP3-AU-AM2 |
| 97.28 kWh | 19, clusters of 10 and 9 | 2 × BOS-G55 | None | SUN-29.9–40K-SG01HP3-AU-BM3/BM4 ² |
The 97.28 kWh build puts one cluster on each of the inverter’s two battery inputs.
² Deye’s configuration list names SUN-29.9–50K for this build. This page stops at 40 kW because 50 kW on 97.28 kWh is 0.51C, over the cabinet’s 0.5C maximum.
Deye’s AU outdoor brochure (2026-09-07, p.7) lists a different set of nine BOS-G Pro scenarios, all in BOS-G55-Cabinets:
| Brochure scenario | Hybrid inverter | BOS-G Pro | Cabinets | Accessory kit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 h | SUN-25K-SG01HP3-AU-AM2 | 56.32 kWh (11 packs) | 1 | AP-B |
| 2 h | SUN-25K-SG02HP3-AU-AM3 ¹ | 56.32 kWh (11 packs) | 1 | None |
| 2 h | SUN-25K-SG01HP3-AU-AM2 | 51.2 kWh (10 packs) | 1 | AP-B |
| 2 h | SUN-25K-SG02HP3-AU-AM3 ¹ | 51.2 kWh (10 packs) | 1 | None |
| 3 h | SUN-29.9K-SG01HP3-AU-BM3 | 92.16 kWh (9 + 9 packs) | 2 | None |
| 3 h | SUN-35K-SG01HP3-AU-BM3 | 107.52 kWh (10 + 11 packs) | 2 | None |
| 4 h | SUN-25K-SG01HP3-AU-AM2 | 102.4 kWh (10 + 10 packs) | 2 | AP-C |
| 4 h | SUN-12K-SG01HP3-AU-AM2 | 51.2 kWh (10 packs) | 1 | AP-B |
| 4 h | SUN-10K-SG01HP3-AU-AM2 | 40.96 kWh (8 packs) | 1 | AP-B |
¹ The SUN-25K-SG02HP3-AU-AM3 is not in Deye’s AU configuration list (2026-09-10).
This page follows the configuration list. Confirm any other build with Suncloud.
Deye recommends the cabinet for 2–4 hour systems. See the SG01HP3 10–25 kW and SG01HP3 29.9–50 kW hybrid pages for the inverter specifications, and the BOS-G and BOS-G Pro pages for the rack versions of each battery.
Design and installation notes
- 0.5C maximum. The cabinet datasheet recommends no more than 0.5C charge or discharge. Each BOS-G or BOS-G Pro cluster is 100 Ah. The SG01HP3 battery input limits the current to 37 A on the 10–20 kW models and 50 A on the 25 kW model and on each input of the 29.9–50 kW models. So each cluster stays at or below 0.5C. Suncloud also holds each outdoor build to 0.5C by power (inverter kW ÷ nominal kWh), which is why the 97.28 kWh build stops at 40 kW.
- Wiring to a 12–25 kW inverter. Deye’s quick guide calls for a junction box and 6 AWG power cables, which are not supplied, between the cabinet and a SUN-12–25K-SG01HP3. With two cabinets, the first cabinet’s control box links to the second (HVBOUT to HVBIN). Both cabinets then feed the inverter’s single battery input through the terminal block on the cabinet frame and the junction box. This is the 92.16 kWh build, and the optional AP-C kit is Deye’s pre-cabled parallel connection for it. The quick guide is written for BOS-G and refers BOS-G Pro installers to Deye’s online document.
- Wiring to a 29.9–50 kW inverter. Each cabinet connects to the inverter on its own. The PCS terminal on each cabinet’s control box goes to its own BMS terminal on the inverter, and its P+ and P− go to its own BAT+ and BAT− input, using the supplied communication and power cables.
- Siting. Install in open air. Avoid strong corrosive gas, heavy salt spray, severe vibration and flood-prone ground. The recommended ambient temperature is 0–40 °C. Each cabinet stands on adjustable levelling feet. Four mounting feet bolt to the cabinet with M8 × 20 bolts and anchor it to the floor with M12 × 80 expansion bolts. A cable gland on each side takes the external wiring.
- Cabinet names in the quick guide. The two-cabinet drawings in Deye’s quick guide label the cabinets “BOS-G45-Cabinet” and “BOS-G50-Cabinet” after the 9 or 10 packs inside. Both are BOS-G55-Cabinets, not the tall IP54 BOS-G50-Cabinet below. The configuration list gives only the pack total for its two-cabinet builds, so the 9 + 9 and 10 + 9 splits in the builds table follow these drawings.
- Where Deye’s documents differ. The BOS-G and BOS-G Pro datasheets rate the packs at 100% DoD, while the cabinet datasheet’s recommended operating conditions use 90%. The brochure’s BOS-G Pro component tables (p.2) rate the control box and packs at 120 A maximum, while its BOS-G Pro system table (p.4) prints a 125 A two-minute peak. The cabinet datasheet and the brochure name EU inverter models for the AP kits.
- BOS-G50-Cabinet. This cabinet is not in Deye’s AU configuration list. It holds one cluster of up to 10 packs (51.2 kWh). Its cables leave through a bottom outlet that is sealed with fire-resistant mud, and Deye recommends a circuit breaker (an optional accessory) between the cabinet and the inverter. The AP-A, AP-B and AP-C kits are listed for the BOS-G55-Cabinet only, so confirm the connection parts for a BOS-G50 build with Suncloud.
