NSW PDRS Battery Subsidy Configurator
NSW's Peak Demand Reduction Scheme now pays tradeable certificates (PRCs) for new battery storage on apartment buildings, business sites and large C&I facilities. Build a Deye system below and see the certificate count, eligibility checks and the vintage split — calculated straight from the PDRS (Amendment No. 2) Rule 2026, including the correct marginal rates for the 50–100 kWh band.
BESS3 20–200 kWh usable
Apartment buildings
- Class 2 building with ≥ 4 dwellings
- Certificate cap: 5 kWh per dwelling
- Outdoor install · first battery at the meter
- Highest rate in the scheme (0.12) with new PV
BESS4 20–200 kWh usable
Small & medium business
- Any non-residential, non-data-centre site
- Solar optional — if new PV is added it must be ≥ ¼ of battery capacity
- Tiered rates — full rate above 100 kWh
- Once per site (shared with BESS5)
BESS5 200 kWh – 30 MWh usable
Large commercial & industrial
- Certificates on up to 10,000 kWh per site
- Solar optional — if new PV is added it must be ≥ ¼ of battery capacity
- Equipment registered with the Scheme Administrator
- Once per site (shared with BESS4)
