Deye ORION E air-cooled outdoor battery cabinet for C&I storage. Six models from 176.8 to 257.2 kWh (100% usable) hold 11–16 × 16.08 kWh LFP packs, with the PDU, air conditioning and fire protection built into one IP55, C4-M enclosure. A Deye SG01HP3 or SG02HP3 hybrid mounts on the cabinet's side wall, and the 16-pack GE-F256 also pairs with the 100/125 kW PCS. Each cabinet takes one accessory kit.

Highlights
- A complete outdoor battery system in one cabinet. Each cabinet holds 11–16 BOS-B-Pack16-A3 LFP packs of 16.08 kWh, a BOS-B-PDU-2-A, an air conditioner and the fire protection system. The enclosure is IP55 with C4-M anti-corrosion as standard (up to C5 on request), so no separate enclosure or rack is needed.
- The inverter mounts on the cabinet. The side wall has preset inverter bracket positions, so a Deye hybrid hangs on the cabinet itself with no wall or drilling needed. The GE-F256-AP-A kit supplies the mounting brackets, the cable cover and the battery cables.
- Six-layer safety design. Deye lists electrical isolation, fire detection, active exhaust, explosion venting, fire suppression and thermal isolation. The fire system combines aerosol suppression and a water fire interface with CO gas detection. The front of the cabinet carries an EPO button, an audible and visual alarm, and a status light that shows the operating state by changing the colour of the Deye logo.
- 100% usable energy. Deye rates usable energy at 100% DoD (0.5P, 25 °C). Deye states no derating at 45 °C and a cell temperature difference of no more than 6 °C.
- Long-life LFP. Deye’s AU brochures rate the cabinets at ≥8000 cycles (25 °C ± 2 °C, 0.5P, 70% EOL).
- Scales both ways. Up to 10 cabinets can run in DC parallel for capacity (2.57 MWh of GE-F256), and up to 10 inverter units in AC parallel for power.

Design notes
- One accessory kit per cabinet. Deye’s AU configuration list calls for one kit per cabinet, not both: GE-F256-AP-A for a cabinet-mounted hybrid, or GE-F256-AP-C for the 100/125 kW PCS. Deye’s AU brochures describe the AP-A as “for inverters with single or dual battery ports < 100A”. Both kits carry the parts every cabinet needs, including the manual service disconnect (MSD), the mounting feet and the communication cable.
- Only the 50 kW SG01HP3, on the GE-F192 or GE-F208. The SUN-50K-SG01HP3-AU-BM4 accepts 160–800 V on its battery input. The GE-F224 and larger cabinets run above 800 V at full charge (up to 817.6–934.4 V), which rules them out. The GE-F176 (440–642.4 V) is within the inverter’s range, but Deye does not list it with the 50K; Deye’s brochures list the 50 kW SG01HP3 with the GE-F192 and GE-F208 only. The larger cabinets use the SG02HP3 (160–1000 V). The smaller SG01HP3 models are not listed with this series.
- PCS builds use the GE-F256. The SUN-100/125K-PCS01HP3-AU takes a 630–1000 V battery. Only the 16-pack GE-F256 (640–934.4 V) stays inside that window across its operating range, and Deye’s brochures list the PCS only with the GE-F256. The MPPT and STS modules are optional. The no-PCS rule for the BOS-B Pro-A3 outdoor cabinet does not apply to the GE-F series.
- Siting and handling. The cabinet stands outdoors on a level concrete foundation and weighs up to 2790 kg, so plan crane or forklift access. Cabinets can stand back-to-back or side-by-side with 100 mm gaps. Deye’s manual asks for 1500 mm clear in front of the doors and lists siting criteria, including more than 2000 m from the coast and minimum distances from pollution sources, so check coastal and industrial sites early. The linked manuals are Deye’s EU editions, so follow Australian standards and local requirements for siting and separation distances.
