Deye steel enclosures for the SE-G5.1 Pro-B 5.12 kWh battery. They are sold separately and are not part of Suncloud kits. The SE-G5.1Pro-B-Cabinet (IP65) and SE-G5.1Pro-B-BC (IP54) each hold up to 4 batteries (20.48 kWh). The tall SE-G50-Cabinet (IP54) holds up to 10 (51.2 kWh).

What they are

Three Deye steel enclosures for the SE-G5.1 Pro-B 5.12 kWh LFP battery. A cabinet adds no storage of its own. The energy comes from the SE-G5.1 Pro-B batteries fitted inside, so size the system by battery count, not by cabinet.

Sold separately. None of the three cabinets is part of a Suncloud kit, and SE-G5.1 Pro-B kits ship without one. Order a cabinet as its own line item.

The 575 mm width of the SE-G5.1Pro-B-BC is the figure in the datasheet and in the technical data table of Deye’s BC installation guide. The guide’s outline drawing marks 550 mm across the base (with 610 mm deep and 1130 mm high), and Deye does not explain the difference. Confirm the footprint with Suncloud if clearance is tight.

The SE-G50-Cabinet shares its enclosure specifications with the BOS-G50-Cabinet. That is the version for the high-voltage BOS-G battery, covered on the BOS-G outdoor solution page.

Installation notes

From Deye’s installation instructions:

SE-G5.1Pro-B-Cabinet. Level the cabinet on its four adjustable feet (45–95 mm below the body), then brace it to the wall at the top with the two L-shaped brackets and M8 hex-head self-drilling screws in 6.0–6.5 mm holes, 90–110 mm deep. The door opens with a key. The four supplied mounting brackets secure the batteries inside.
SE-G5.1Pro-B-BC. The cabinet arrives as a base, two side plates, a back plate, a cover and a door. Step 1 fits two copper bars, on insulated bars with M8 flange nuts, to the side plates. Four fixed supports are bolted to the base corners with M6 bolts (6 N·m), and the cabinet is anchored to the floor through them with four expansion bolts (6 N·m).
SE-G50-Cabinet. Deye’s brochure is the only SE-G50 document on hand. Ask Suncloud for installation details.

Siting

Deye rates the enclosures IP65 (SE-G5.1Pro-B-Cabinet) and IP54 (SE-G5.1Pro-B-BC and SE-G50-Cabinet), with C4 corrosion resistance. Its datasheet calls the first two “IP65 waterproof” and “IP54 waterproof”, and the SE-G50 brochure shows that cabinet standing against a building’s outside wall. No Deye document, though, gives an outdoor installation rating for the SE-G5.1 Pro-B inside a cabinet. The battery itself is IP20, and section 4 of its user manual says to install it indoors, away from heat sources, out of direct sunlight and with good ventilation. The IP rating belongs to the enclosure. Do not treat a cabinet as an IP upgrade for the battery. Confirm the installation site with Suncloud before you plan a cabinet outdoors.

Model names

Deye’s datasheet adds an extra hyphen to two of the names (SE-G5.1-Pro-B-Cabinet, SE-G5.1-Pro-B-BC). They are the same products as SE-G5.1Pro-B-Cabinet and SE-G5.1Pro-B-BC. Page 1 of the linked datasheet covers a different enclosure that is not offered on this page.
